Who are we?

Our Mission

Among the recommendation of the Council of Europe & Commission towards that vision was to collaborate with sports organizations at all levels including at the international level. “Sport brings people together” Responding to the opportunities of Europe and in alignment with the Sport Chapter of Erasmus+ call for small scale partnerships about “the creation and development of transnational networks and fostering synergies with, and between, local, regional, national and international policies” EQUALINE proposes a partnership of experienced sport & youth organization from Italy & Belgium (according to WEDA’s reports for 2016 were on the top lists of the countries with the most doping cases), Slovenia & Germany. Our general objective links with Call 21’ about “Common values, civic engagement and participation as we propose the cooperation of EQUALINE at the European level on anti-doping education and awareness on sports, superfood promotion as a “natural doping” option & overall protect of young athletes by promoting critical thinking towards “healthy” choices for their mind & for their body. European citizens especially young need to be better equipped with the knowledge, skills and competences needed in a dynamically changing society that is increasingly mobile, multicultural and digital. Our aim is through our transnational cooperation to build capacity in the field of education, by using non-formal educational methods with the main aim to develop digital educational tools to train & educate young athletes around doping.

Through the project our organization will find the opportunity to reach out other organizations and build a European network in the field of education and training, with its underlying sectoral agendas, advancing youth policy cooperation under the Union Youth Strategy 2019-2027 and developing the European dimension in sport. Great emphasis is placed on the inclusion of marginalized young athletes with fewer opportunities in SAGE, as it aims to engage & equip disadvantaged young people by addressing the barriers faced by these groups in accessing the opportunities offered, as well as contributing to creating inclusive environments that foster equity and equality, and that are responsive to the needs of the wider community. Also, great emphasis is given throughout the project lifecycle on developing competences in a sustainability- relevant sector (sports), developing green sectorial skills strategies and methodologies, as well as future- oriented curricula that better meet the needs of athletes. SAGE project proposes an innovative, educational approach that will enhance the knowledge of young athletes towards doping, improving their critical thinking towards harmful choices & activating their role in democratic European societies. The partners will follow an innovative, integrated enquiry-based learning approach based in non-formal education methods and tools. Finally, our unity around the field of sports will highlight the unity of all especially younger people around the values that sports provide us & the values that our future Europe has to be founded on. “Sound Athletes Grow Sound Societies (SAGE)” “talks” about an “update” of the well-known ancient saying and it’s focused on the future sound societies that young people will demonstrate through education, knowledge and the growth of their critical thinking ability.
